Australia’s use of methamphetamine has doubled in a decade, the Guardian reported from Australian Criminal Intelligence Commission Report 25 of the National Wastewater Drug Monitoring Program. 26.8 tonnes of methylamphetamine, cocaine, heroin and MDMA was consumed August 2024-August 2025, a 21% rise from the previous year.
