Now Europe takes on Meta

The “addictive design” of Meta’s Facebook and Instagram platforms breaches EU digital law, the European Commission said. It warned the US tech giant last Friday that it could fine it $12billion. Features such as  autoplay and infinite scroll contribute to compulsive use, the Guardian added.
