Psychedelics shift political attitudes

Americans who had their most intense psychedelic experience on 4 July later reported less support for partisan violence, Sweden’s Karolinska Institutet et al found. People who took the same drugs during the 2024 party conventions or close to Election Day reported more support such for violence. The shared national mood around a trip can steer their views positively or negatively.
