For the 1st time on record, more Americans use marijuana daily or almost daily (21.4million) than smoke cigarettes daily (19.9million) or drink alcohol daily or almost daily (17.2million), according to the 2025 National Survey on Drug Use and Health. This showed how the normalization and commercialization of high-potency marijuana increased daily use in the US.
