Licensing addiction recovery houses

Ohio is set­ting up a vet­ting pro­cess for its roughly 1,700 addic­tion recov­ery houses to ensure greater over­sight and pun­it­ive powers in cases of waste, fraud or abuse. Outgoing governor Mike DeWine signed an emer­gency rule that he said “gives the state the author­ity to reg­u­late this grow­ing industry” through a new state licens­ing pro­cess.
