A growing number of Americans say their cannabis use is problematic, according to a large Nida/NIH study released yesterday. It found that over 9% of participants (almost 6% for women) reported symptoms of cannabis use disorder in 2024, up from about 7% (5% for women) in 2021. “The notion that cannabis is not addictive may basically be incorrect,” said Nida director Dr Nora D. Volkow.
