Marijuana and work absenteeism

University of Connecticut shared research which found that the onset of legal recreational sales was accompanied by a 50% rise in prior-month adult marijuana use in treated states vs control states, and a 14% rise in prior-week workplace absence. Part of the effect may be driven by rises in self-reported mental health problems since the opening of recreational dispensaries.
