Lives ‘could be lost’ from funding cut to alcohol and tobacco control offices

Darlington Borough Council said it would no longer contribute to Balance, the regional office for the reduction of alcohol harm, and Fresh, its tobacco equivalent – despite Balance being perhaps the most respected of its kind in the UK.
