Scripps Research is developing a vaccine that teaches the immune system to make antibodies to block fentanyl from affecting the brain: 2 doses of the shot took weeks to work but then blocked cravings for 3.5 months in rats. DB note: this is about addressing symptoms not causes – and what happens in the waiting period?
