Calls for support for UK midwives struggling with substance abuse

The Royal College of Midwives is calling for members to be given the same support as doctors with drug and alcohol problems. Coventry University pioneering research found that 28% had problems. Reasons include work-related stress and anxiety, bullying, traumatic clinical incidents.
