Childhood trauma linked to opioid use disorder for pain

Australia’s National Drug and Alcohol Research Centre describes the role of childhood trauma exposure among people prescribed opioids for chronic non-cancer pain, and conclude that trauma-informed services should be considered by clinicians treating pain.
