Women in clinical trials for substance use disorder

A review by Boston University of 316 US clinical trials found that females were under-represented in alcohol use disorder studies, but there was no significant difference in enrolment for nicotine and illicit drug use disorders. Only 8% of the trials had sex-specific analyses.
