US addiction treatment locator: outdated data and other flaws

SAMHSA launched the website FindTreatment.gov in 2019, listing over 13,000 state-licensed treatment facilities – considered safer than googling and turning up potentially predatory marketers. But FindTreatment.gov and SAMHSA’s other treatment locators have inaccurate and outdated information and little on how to identify high-quality treatment, Government Executive warns.
