Council pauses plan to house recovering addicts in old brewery

A 10-year lease was signed to enable the Brighton & Hove site to be run as supported housing or a hostel for 60 people with complex mental health needs. Many would be recovering drugs addicts and alcoholics and their care would be the responsibility of Saint John of God Hospitaller Services.
