Firstly, a big thank you for registering to attend our National Service Celebrating 12 Step Recovery “A New Freedom”
It was an amazing evening and so lovely to see so many of you at the event. We have had lots of heartfelt feedback, “a special and memorable occasion” ; “a wonderful and moving evening” ; “it was so inspiring tonight” and that of The Reverend Mark Birch and Canon Anthony Ball, “It was such a privilege to attend the service last night – humbling and inspiring in equal measure”.
The readings and testimonials were incredibly moving, and the choir were spinetingling. A really fantastic evening of celebration.
Many of you wanted to know about the work that The APPG for 12 Step Recovery and Visible Recovery are doing, how you can get involved, and carry the message of recovery. One way to get involved is to host a Recovery Fair in your constituency or a constituency close by. You may have heard Dan Carden MP speaking about the Recovery Fair that he hosted last week with The APPG for 12 Steps Recovery in Liverpool? It was a great success, and you can find more information here on this link to our website about what a Recovery Fair is. If you know who your local MP is and would like to organise a Recovery Fair, please get in touch with us. The feedback from the Recovery Fair in Liverpool was amazing with a staggering 92% saying they had a better unde rstanding of 12 Step Recovery after attending and would feel more confident in recommending it professionally.
