Children given government support for years of dealing with alcoholic parents

The Department of Health sprang into action after we reported how children as young as 5 were calling a helpline to be read bedtime stories because their parents were too drunk to tuck them in at night, the Sunday Express claims after it attended an All Party Parliamentary Group on Children of Alcoholics.
