NIHR CLAHRC alcohol researchers & SLaM clinicians win BMJ mental health team award 2019

The research team at King’s College London, led by Professor Colin Drummond, showed that a relatively small number of high-need, high-cost alcohol-related frequent hospital attenders account for 59% of alcohol costs for the NHS – but patients who used its AOTT service had a 48% reduction in hospital bed days.
