Section 35, forcing addicts into prison, is under scrutiny

A Massachusetts law that allows the courts to involuntarily commit a person with substance use disorder to prison is under fire over allegations of improper conditions. It has, to date, generated 2 lawsuits. The Fix explains that Section 35 can send people to treatment but sometimes that’s in a prison.
