Childhood maltreatment and disordered gambling in adulthood

Educational attainment appeared to reduce the risk of disordered gambling, and alcohol use disorder to increase risk, University of Missouri and Australia’s Queensland Institute of Medical Research found. Evidence also emerged for familial effects of antisocial behavior on gambling – and post-hoc analyses revealed a familial effect of childhood maltreatment on antisocial behavior.
