‘Parental addiction’ is main reason for children going into care

Ireland’s Child Care Law Reporting Project – in its report Ripe for Reform – recommends urgent interventions and the establishment of a family court, noting that “parental addiction is the core reason for a significant proportion of children coming into and remaining in care”.
