Biases among scientific and medical experts – addiction

Brian Coon of Yale School of Medicine lists 8 biases of scientific experts in our field. First is that they tend to use diagnostic criteria to understand addiction illness. For this, he instead recommends 2 old favourites: the “Jellinek Chart” of signs of alcoholic disease progression and Terence Gorski’s relapse warning signs.
