Heavy drinkers are 4 times more likely to smoke

University College London found that people among the heaviest drinkers in England are 4 times more likely to smoke than the general population and should be prioritized by the government in its plans to achieve ‘smoke-free’ status by 2030. As we’ve said before: address root causes not bandaids.
