Cannabis is as harmful as cocaine and crack and should be a Class A drug, police chiefs say

A group of police and crime commissioners will demand that cannabis be put on a par with crack and cocaine. PCC David Sidwick said there was growing evidence linking psychosis, mental ill health, cancer and birth defects to cannabis – and as a ‘gateway’ drug used by county lines gangs to lure in users and children.
