N Ireland records joint-highest alcohol deaths

Figures released by Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency for 2021 show 351 deaths related to alcohol, a joint record with the previous year – and almost 54% higher than the number recorded 10 years ago, with figures rising each year since recording began in 2001.
