Canada: government accused of contributing to addiction crisis

The leader of the Conservative party called the federal government’s program to provide drugs addicts with a “safer supply” a disaster that needs to be scrapped. Pierre Poilievre cited a National Post investigation which found that much of the drugs handed out are re-sold on the street — usually to fund illicit purchases of deadly fentanyl.
