Trends in overdose and other drug-induced deaths in Australia

This NDARC report presents the most recent and indepth data on overdose and drug-induced deaths in Australia, covering 2002-2021. Preliminary estimates are 1,788 drug deaths in 2021 – excluding alcohol and tobacco. That’s 5 deaths per day and 1% of all registered deaths.
