The number of Australians reaching out to alcohol treatment services is at its highest in a decade, with 49% of all alcohol and other drug treatment episodes involving alcohol as a drug of concern, Fare shared. Since alcohol companies aggressively marketed their products as a way to cope with Covid stresses, there was a 16.4% rise in people seeking help for alcohol.
