Delirium tremens, alcohol and death

Patients with a history of treated delirium tremens are at higher risk for all-cause mortality and alcohol-related morbidities compared to patients with just alcohol dependence or other alcohol withdrawal states, during a mean follow-up period of less than 1 year, the Norwegian Institute of Public Health et al found.
