Cost of treating alcohol-related liver disease could double over 20 years

5 research organisations have published The Rising Costs of Alcohol-Associated Liver Disease in the US – experts project that the annual cost of treating alcohol-associated liver disease, or ALD, will more than double over the next two decades, increasing from $31billion in 2022 to $66billion in 2040.
