Some 300,000 UK adults are problem gamblers and their addiction affects another 3.8million people, including children. Now draft guidance, from the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (Nice), says healthcare professionals should ask patients about their gambling habits, to support them. The consultation ends 15 November.
