320,000+ US children lost a parent to drugs

Over 320,000 children across the US lost a parent due to a drug overdose 2011-2021, according to SAMHSA, CDC and Nida. The impact of the overdose epidemic on children is something “we really don’t speak much about,” said Nida director Dr Nora Volkow, an author of the study.
