66% of US adults say addiction affected their family

In a KFF Tracking Poll, 66% of of respondents said either they or a family member had experienced addiction to alcohol or drugs, homelessness due to addiction, or an overdose resulting in an emergency room visit, hospitalization or death. 70% said the addiction impacted their mental health, 57% their family’s financial situation.
