Alcohol, mood instability and bipolar disorder

Alcohol use is associated with mood instability (depression and manic symptoms) in people with bipolar disorder, according to University of Michigan and Ohio State University. They recommend that alcohol use/treatment should be integrated into research and standard treatment of BD.
