Fentanyl in counterfeit pills or smoked alone or with methamphetamine is altering the overdose epidemic. Inexperienced (low-tolerance) fentanyl smokers, users or speedballers are at high risk of overdose – as are pre-existing depression, Covid, heart disease or liver disease.
