Nora Volkow on more “realistic and pragmatic” addiction treatment

A recent article by Nora Volkow about non-abstinence endpoints for addiction treatments received a lot of attention. Some hail it as a long-overdue change of course and others expressed concern that it is a step in the direction of abandoning recovery. Where it errs is in using “addiction” and “use disorder” interchangeably.
