Leader of Mexico’s Sinaloa drug cartel arrested in Texas

Ismael “El Mayo” Zambada, leader of Mexico’s Sinaloa cartel, was arrested by US federal agents yesterday. He cofounded Sinaloa with Joaquin “El Chapo” Guzman, who is already in jail. Arrested with Zambada was Guzman’s son. The US Attorney General said they lead “one of the most violent and powerful drug trafficking organizations in the world”.
