Cannabis seized at UK airports triples

The amount of cannabis seized from smugglers carrying it in suitcases to UK airports tripled in less than a year, according to the National Crime Agency: 15 tonnes in 2024, compared with 5 tonnes for the whole of 2023 and 2 tonnes in 2022. Overproduction in countries where it has been legalised could be the reason.
