Prescription painkiller misuse/ addiction in chronic pain patients

A University of Bristol review of 148 studies enrolling over 4.3million adult chronic pain patients treated with prescription opioid painkillers found that 9.3% of patients experience opioid dependence or opioid use disorder, 29.6% showed symptoms of these, and 22% showed aberrant behaviour.
