California rehab owner convicted for $2.9million illegal kickbacks

Casey Mahoney paid almost $2.9million in illegal kickbacks to “body brokers” who referred patients to his addiction treatment facilities, Healing Path Detox and Get Real Recovery. Those body brokers in turn paid $thousands to patients, which some used to purchase drugs, to induce them to attend Mahoney’s facilities.
