Scotland: opioid substitution therapy numbers

Estimated numbers of people prescribed opioid substitution therapy in Scotland revealed that, in 2023/24, the number of paid items for OST drugs was 416,092. Methadone was prescribed to 20,540 people, oral buprenorphine to 7,415 people and  injectable buprenorphine to 3,716 people.
