MPs urge government to regulate UK psychotherapists, counsellors

MPs with experience in mental health urged government to introduce statutory regulation for all psychotherapists and counsellors: these are not protected titles nor statutorily regulated professions – anyone can set themselves up as a UK therapist without qualifications, and practice after misconduct.
