Australia: why some drug traffickers are more likely to be reconvicted

Half of ‘typical’ drug traffickers convicted in New South Wales 2000-2023 will have no further contact with the criminal justice system after release, according NDARC et al. It also shared that people convicted of trafficking heroin or amphetamine-type substances are more likely to commit further offences than those convicted of cannabis, ecstasy or cocaine trafficking.
