The Australian Burden of Disease Study 2024 includes national estimates for 220 diseases and injuries in 2024 based on projections using historical trends in data. It also includes estimates of the disease burden attributed to 20 individual risk factors in 2024. Obesity and tobacco use were the leading risk factors.
