Brian Thompson, CEO of United Healthcare Insurance (the largest private insurer in the US, including insurance cover for drug and alcohol rehab) was fatally shot yesterday in New York. The shooter wrote “deny” “defend” “depose” on the shell casings left at the scene – the words echo the name of a book about how insurers won’t pay claims.
