Australia: do ‘medicinal’ cannabis websites follow the rules?

Australians spent over A$400million on ‘medicinal’ cannabis in the 1st half of 2024 alone. Many bypass their GP, buying online from private medicinal cannabis clinics after a telehealth appointment with the clinic’s doctor. But University of Queensland found these cannabis clinics’ websites had aggressive and misleading marketing, some breaching regulatory guidelines. The authors explain.
