BC Supreme Court certifies class-action lawsuit against opioid makers

British Columbia’s attorney general says the BC Supreme Court has certified the province’s class-action lawsuit against opioid manufacturers and distributors. BC will proceed as a representative plaintiff on behalf of other Canadian governments to recover the costs of treating opioid-related diseases due to the industry’s conduct.
