In a significant move to combat the ongoing fentanyl crisis and Mexican drug cartels, the Trump administration tapped former counternarcotics agent Derek Maltz as acting administrator of the Drug Enforcement Administration. A long-time fighter against drug cartels, he replaces Anne Milgram.
