What helps teens shun drug use?

Spain’s University of Córdoba et al analysed over 8,000 scientific papers on substance use and adolescence to look for the factors that protect adolescents from using them. One of the risk factors for substance use is the influence of those who are already using, and who share common characteristics, among young people’s social peers.
