Even low pre-natal alcohol exposure can change child’s face

Research institutions from the UK, Belgium and Australia looked at 549 children aged 6-8 years – finding that prenatal alcohol exposure linked to the shape of the eyes and nose, be it only in trimester 1 or throughout pregnancy. Features were not congruent with those in children with fetal alcohol spectrum disorder.
