Marijuana legalization and adolescent drug deaths

Oregon Health and Science University et al found that adolescent drug overdose death rates rose after marijuana legalization. From 2019-2021, jurisdictions that legalized marijuana had a significantly greater jump in death rates than those that did not legalize, and jurisdictions that legalized recreational use had the greatest increases in death rates.
